Sporting an Athletics baseball bag, Barry Zito actually sat in the other Barry's locker room chair, but insists that he has a solid relationship with Bonds. Zito strolled into Scottsdale Arizona ready to begin his first ever Spring Training with the San Francisco Giants.

Good riddance Schmidthouse. Damn, I never thought I'd ever say that. he was a good pitcher when we had him but considering he only won 11 games last season and he has a historically bad groin injury, I say good deal letting him go and getting a crazy lefty who, may I remind you is younger than Schmidt is. Oh how was class? Schmidt was not worth what the Dodgers paid him and I sincerely look forward to ths baseball season when he chokes and the Dodgers fall flat on thier face.
Alright Davos, we'll call this one a reax, or up-date story.
Bonds finally signed his revised 2007 contract. It is worth 15.8 million for one year with incentive opurtunities all over the place. Originally the league vetoed it due to language involving personal appearances.
When Zito reported to training camp he showed up with a new delivery technique. Piitching coach righetti and manager Bochy are not all that pleased about it, and plan to have a discussion with Zito. Zito said he is just trying to take advantage of new lower body strength.
Good interview on KNBR with Jack Taschner just ended and he said some good things about the Giants that actually changed my outlook on this season to a slightly more positive tone. He reports that there is no problem between Sweeney and Bonds over the amphetamene locker fiasco, and...what do you got?
Mike, I don't know much about sports... I know absolutely nothing about baseball, so I can't be very helpful with your blog. I like that your articles are short and to the point though... I am having some trouble with that in fact, so I was particularly paying attention to that. It seems like a good blog for people who understand the subject. Danny is obviously excited about it, so you must be doing something right! :)
I tried to look for helpful links, but since this is not really a topic I know much about, I don't know if this link will be at all fun to read.
I liked your post it is easy and fun to read. I know nothing about sports so it is always fun to learn. Obviously, this is a blog for a knowledgable baseball fan. I think that you are doing a great job. Here is a site that has up-to-date information about the Giants. I am sure you don't need any help in this area but, you can use it as a resource if necessary.
I can see the "good post, but I don't like sports" is going to get old. I am not a sports person either. But I do know that I enjoy some sports article's.
Usually they are about how sports interact with society, or even the scientific breakthroughs just for sports. Like the Tommy John surgery. I first read about this in a Wired article. This is when I realized that there are some things about sports I could enjoy.
I also really enjoy the stats behind sports like baseball, and football. But not like how many RBI's some one has or what his batting average is. Again in another wired article, about Bill James, I think. The article was about developing new stats that more accurately reflect a teams ability to do well.
Anyway I really just wanted to give you something more then the others. And I guess my oneliner is find a better angle, do something different then all the other sports journalists.
I am super into sports except Baseball. I mean I watch it during playoffs or something like that. But over all I like your blog for a few reasons.
Reasons:
1. Very easy to read.
2. It is obvious you know what you’re talking about.
3. You can tell that you like the sport.
The only thing I would suggest is that maybe you could cover sports for other areas other than the Bay Area. But then it would not be your personal blog.
Good for people to know.
